Politicking Ronald Reagan & Gathie Falk’s President In Clay

As November approaches, the Ronald Reagan “movement” or rather, the propensity for politicians to attach their lofty ideals to the namesake of our 40th President, is in full vigor; pedal to the metal and with no stops — good men and women taking to the stump with “Ronald Reagan” on the tips of their tongues.  It’s all good politicking, right? So, why not have some fun here by celebrating Mr. Reagan in the one medium we love most, clay!

Ronald Reagan by Gathie Falk, c 1981 (SPA Archive Collection)

Gathie Falk, one of Canada’s premier multi-media artists, incorporated Reagan into her art back in the early 1980s, including this ceramic bust of Ronald. Yet, I only wish it came alongside this President’s top advisor: Nancy.

From the SPA Archive and signed, “Gathie Falk” — 8″ w x 6.5″ h x 4.5″ d.
